These ArtMaking sessions guide students in developing their artistic techniques further through the creation of original work which is the result of brainstorming, research & development of prompts & ideas.
The projects encourage observation, understanding & the mastering of different media, while giving importance to creativity & self-expression. Reference to art history as well as contemporary artists is made to give context to the themes, allowing the students to further their knowledge and inspire them.
A sketchbook is used weekly to record ideas, allow for brainsotrming and notetaking as well as experimental preparatory work before the final piece.
Suitable for students who are sitting for Art O Level as well as creative kids who would like to further their artistis skills and wish to explore different techniques while building an interesting creative portfolio.
Portfolio Preparation runs weekly on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoon. This term, space is available on Wednesday 4.00pm – 6.00pm and Thursday 4.30pm – 6.30pm. Friday is fully booked.
